Library Director, Athens State University (2016-current)

  • Responsible for the leadership and overall management of the library service and collections
  • Responsible for planning, budgeting, and staffing to support the needs of the library and university
  • Coordinate a University Taskforce on Open Educational Resources

Assistant Dean of Libraries, Public Services, Clayton State University Library (2008 – 2014)

  • Coordinated and participated in all service operations of the library

Head of User Information Services, Florida State University – Strozier Library (2004 – 2006)

  • Created a department, which included the running of two information desks, library carrels, and the library’s virtual reference system
  • Created policies and procedures for new department and desks
  • Wrote job descriptions, hired, trained, and supervised full time staff and students
  • Supervised the maintenance of the micro-materials, maps, and government documents
  • Performed liaison activities for College of Visual Arts and Dance, the Women’s Studies program, and the Department of Communication.

  • Library liaison for the College of Education, Psychology Department, and Social Work Department

  • Hired, trained, and supervised 2 full time staff and approximately 30 students
  • Managed the libraries word processing computer lab, which included patron assistance and maintenance of the computers
  • Worked as a member of the Reference weekend rotation team.

  • Hired and trained approximately 30 student assistants for the Circulation department.
